What is backcountry skiing?

Cross country skiing is a winter sport where one glides across domains covered with Snow Skis wearing and poles. It is a popular sport in countries that have large flat snow-covered areas such as northern Europe, the Canada, Alaska and the North-East Western United States. Cross country skiing is part of the Nordic skiing sport family, which includes ski jumping and a mix of ski jumping called Nordic combined skiing.

To win the events of cross country skiing, the athlete must finish the race in the shortest time.

Why girls can not go skiing in the Olympics?

I read an article online today about how the Women were not allowed to ski in the Olympics. There was a lot of statistics about how the girls were jumping from the Wright sport, there are hundreds around the world compete at the international level, and most girls are even better than men. The article also talked of how not even dangerous, and many other sports that are much more dangerous than the competitors were women. This does not seem right. It is the only Sport Games Winter Olympics without the category of women. This seems ....?? discrimination
