Do you think the mid-thirties is too old to be a female EMT Paramedic?

I volunteer as an EMT-B for 15 years search and rescue and ski patrol. I work as a Project Manager 9.5 on my work. I'm bored with it and wanted to become an EMT-P. I'm used to Earn $ 80K to $ 90K/year as PM, so it could be very difficult financially dependent on the sidelines. (I live in So Cal, where my loan mortgage is outrageous [$ 3K one month] for a small house in a dangerous neighborhood). I fear that my only option is the fire department because I think they have a monopoly on the work of paramedics. What do you think? What do paramedics to think? Thank you,

If you can do research and rescue, there is no doubt that you can do from a physical point of view. However, as someone who just finished school medicine, I can honestly say 100%, it is hard as hell. Most people do not think, but we forget how to get to school. We forget how things were done in high school or college. We must remember study, and believe me, you'll have to work hard. School Medicine is not like an EMT class. It is much more difficult. Keep in mind the firefighters and police often take and pass the EMT, can not be too hard (Joking. .. like police and firefighters ... ... when I'm being robbed or my house is on fire ... please collect When you call 911) Medic school is full year of classes, and some are very hard. You must determine whether or not you can do is be a race, because the school doctor may be a thing full-time with classes, ambulance, hospital and time. Is it useful to take a sabbatical to volunteer? Another issue in question is worth the cost? I do not want to discourage him from becoming a doctor. You need good doctors and I admire those who do the work we do, but this should not be an easy decision. If you have questions about medical school, please email me.
