Very often people ask me what is the difference between fall and skiing, or between the alpine and Nordic skiing. It always seems strange to me. Having grew up in Vermont, as the son of a ski instructor and ski coach, thought that human beings are born with the ability to tell the pleasure of pain, acid, sweet, and of course the Alps Nordic countries. But then I moved to California, where this knowledge appears to be less frequent. Yesterday, someone asked me again, so now I'll write.

The difference between alpine skiing and ski background is fairly simple. Cross-country average push you through undulating terrain under his own power. Downhill skiing, however, implies a certain way reach the summit of a hill and turn around and skiing as well, down.

Cross country skiing is done on light, thin skis attached to light, flexible boots. There are two main ways cross country. Cross Country Classic is sort of like running, although with more time shuffling. Cross-country skate ski country Unsurprisingly, more like Ice Skating, where the skier is from side to side.

Alpine skiing usually involves much wider skis and boots much heavier, more rigid. In the vast majority of cases they take a cable car up, then fall back down. Some of us, however, raise our own using the "rise of the fur material with a one-wear medium, which can be pasted on skis to rise and remove for the descent.

There are two main forms of alpine skiing: Downhill Alpine and telemark, also known as Nordic down. "At one time there are major differences in equipment Telemark gear and looked heavy gear Cross Country. It is now closer to the Alpine team, except that begins at the tip and links double to allow the heel to move.

Which brings us to the difference between the alpine and Nordic skiing.

Nordic Skiing is a technique in which the clip is firmly attached to the Ski Resort, but the heel is free to move. There are basically four ways to Cross country skiing: telemark, skiing classic cross, cross-country skating and jumping nordic skiing, where skiers jump away instead of doing tricks. No events Telemark in the Olympics, but events in other Nordic countries are represented. In addition, biathlon combines skiing with shooting and is an event Olympic.

Alpine Skiing instead use a link that sets both the toe and heel of the track (although this is presented in case of a fall or other strong force). There's really only one way to ski downhill, but there are many variations, including several Olympic events. For the Vancouver Games in 2010, these events are slalom, giant slalom, super G, downhill skiing for the competition and bumps, jumps and freestyle skiing (although in fact, cross-country skiing is a race, you're lost?). Most forms are regarded as the alpine skiing downhill skiing, but Tower (also © Randon known as AT or ski e) results in place by its own before coming to ski down.

So as you can see, in particular Forms downhill skiing and Nordic skiing, and includes both Nordic cross-country and alpine forms. So it's not quite true that the Nordic countries is synonymous with cross-country. The most important thing to remember is that the entertainment of all forms of skiing are excellent and if you are a type of skiing, try another really help your sport core.
