Meden OUKA ¯ opened as a Ski Resort in 1936 by the French Alpine Club Marrakech. You are at an altitude of 10,738 feet (3273 meters) and is the highest ski resort in Africa and best equipped in Morocco, and one of the most popular on the continent, with an average of 24,000 visitors every weekend during high season.

The snow season is very variable and difficult an annual average of 120 days Mid-April to December to mid-term, even if the snow is very reliable from January until late March or early April.

The ¯ OUKA Meden Resort has a ski relatively modest, approximately 300 acres, but very interesting, including 3 black, 8 red, 4 blue and 3 green slopes. It also has the highest chairlift in Africa, 7545 meters above the sea as well as 6 lifts with a capacity of more than 4,000 skiers per hour. There several projects underway to develop the resort as a plan to equip roads with artificial snow machines.

Currently, the price Entry station cost only 10 dirhams, half-day lost for the cost of skiing, 30 dirhams, and equipment rental should not cost more residents than 60 dirhams per day.

Getting there

There, the buses do not travel are expected to arrive ski ¯ OUKA Meden, but you can hire a taxi to get there from Marrakesh and pick it up for return to the city by about 300 to 500 dirhams. You can also rent a car in the city between 30 and 600 dirhams per day, depending on season, type of car and service need.
